Checkmate Transport is a local garage based in Mossley, that offers a range of services from diagnostics, MOT’s, services, vehicle storage, tyres, repairs and even a fantastic local bus service that transports people between place such as Marple, Mossley, Hyde, Dukinfield, Rose Hill and Manchester City Centre to name but a few.

At Checkmate Transport, we have a history of running a small number of services in Oldham and Tameside, using Plaxton Beavers and an Optare Metrorider, before  we expanding into other surrounding areas in Tameside.

Checkmate Transport is an independent transport operator, based in Mossley, Greater Manchester. We currently own and run 4 buses, and operate 7 seperate routes, mainly Optare Solo’s with a Plaxton Beaver used for a school route and as a spare for public services, and along with the school service they operate a mix of tendered services and one commercial service.
